The Place - International centre for the education, performance and creation of contemporary dance. Funding sought in support of the Fund for Excellence which enables the distribution of awards and bursaries to students. £2,000.
Theatre Investment Fund - Bursaries for New Producers. £7,500 p.a. for three years.
Crossing Borders -Cumbria 2003 - Funding to enable a poet/editor/translator from Poland to attend a Literary Festival in March 2004 to give readings and workshops. £1,082.50.
Channel 4 Theatre Director Scheme - Training bursaries for people wishing to make a career as Theatre Directors. Renewed long term support with a further £10,000 p.a. for two years.
Unicorn Theatre - Capital project to build the first purpose designed theatre and education centre for children in the heart of London. The location will be accessible for over 100,000 children each year. £10.4m had already been raised from public and private sources leaving a shortfall of £2.2m. £10,000 p.a. for two years.
West Yorkshire Playhouse - To develop the creative talent of three new writers leading to the creation of new work. The project will take place over two years from September 2004. Request for £20,000. £6,500 p.a. for two years.
English Touring Theatre - Running successful and respected theatre education programmes. Application for funding for a project 'Practitioners Unplugged'. These workshops are practical rehearsal sessions giving participants the opportunity to convert the theories of influential theatre practitioners (Brecht, Berkoff, Stanislavski) into live practice which links with A-level and BTEC exams. £6,000.
Soho Theatre & Writers Centre Writers Attachment Programme. The Foundation helped to launch the programme in 2000 and there are now plans for expansion to take the programme beyond theoretical and to put the participants training and skills into a practical context. Agreed to continue support for a further three years at £35,000 p.a.
The Little Angel Theatre - The oldest of three purpose-built puppet theatres in England, dedicated to the celebration and development of puppetry and live animation in all its diverse forms. Agreed £16,600 in support of Subsidised Ticket Scheme for Out-of-School Groups 2004/05 - 'Pay What You Can' performances aimed exclusively at Out-of-School groups in Islington and Hackney offering 2000 free tickets over 40 weeks of performances.
